Biography

Rensie Schenck is the daughter of Marten Roelofse Schenck (1661-1758) and Elizabeth Minne (Voorhees) Schenck (1661-1704)

Rensie married first, Peter G Wyckoff and had three children:

  1. Garret Wyckoff, 1724-1745
  2. Martin Wyckoff, 1721-1729
  3. Elizabeth Wyckoff, 1731-1779

Rensie married second, Daniel Rapalje (1690-1776), Resided at one period in Fld^ where he was a deacon of the ch. in 1736, and finally settled in Newtown. Signed his name Daniel Rappelje." and had five children: [1]

  1. Martin Rapalje (1734-1816) Martin, b. May 28, 1734;
  2. Jane Rapalje (1736-1803) Jane, b. Mar. 14, 1736, m. Hendrick Riker;
  3. Daniel Rapalje (1738-1751) Daniel, bp. Aug. 31, 1738;
  4. Nelly Rapalje (1740-Unknown) Nelly, b. July 4, 1740, m. Jeremiah Remsen;
  5. Agnes Rapalje (1744-1767) Agnes, b. May 9, 1744.
