Biography of Anna SCHICK of 1816

Anna Schick was born August 18, 1816, in Bechtolsheim, in what is now known as Aslsy-Worms Landkreis, Rheinland-Pfalz, Deutschland, not far from the famous Diet of Worms which took place in the early 1500s. She is the daughter of Johannes Schick and his wife Anna Barbara Pinger

Anna Schick married Philip Leonhard Schauf about 1839 in Bechtolsheim had two Schauf children:

• Appolonia Schauf, born March 10, 1840 in Bechtolsheim, Hesse-Darmstadt.
• Philipp Heinrich Schauf, Jr., born March 13, 1849 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY and died April 4, 1850 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York at the age of one year after his father Philip Schauf, Sr. had remarried. His mother Anna Schick Schauf must have died when little Philipp Heinrich Schauf was very young, possibly during childbirth.

Anna Schick Schauf died before 1850, leaving Phillip a widower with a baby to raise. Phillip remarried a few months later. HIs oldest daughter "Dora" might be a child of Anna Schick. More research is necessary.
