Biography

Peter Schlosser was the son of Johann Joost Schlosser and Margaretha Frey Schlosser. Peter's father was born in Londorf, Germany and died in Hilsbach, Germany. Peter emigrated to America in 1732 aboard the ship, Dragon, which sailed from Rotterdam, Netherlands, via Plymouth, England. He is listed in an early Philadelphia census in 1732 and again in 1751. In the 1730s, he married Maria Margaretha Waschenbach. It is believed that Peter and Margaret had ten children. At some point, Peter moved to Maryland, where his son, Henry (Johann Heinrich) lived with his family.

Narrative from FAG: Son of Johaann Joost Schloszer and Margareth Frey. Peter arrived in Philadelphia 30 Sep 1732 on the ship Dragon, accompanied by his brother Leonhardt. He took the oath of allegiance on 30 Sep 1738. Pennsylvania German Pioneers, Vol I. Peter and Maria married in 1735 in Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania or possibly 1738 in Berke Co. Pennsylvania. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:

Schlosser-204 and Schlosser-68 are not ready to be merged because: I am not the profile owner/manager. Some information is different. John Corey should be the one to approve. Very little is listed as a resource.
