Eugenia B. Schmidt married Elmer B. Teal 10 April 1911 at Walla Walla, Walla Walla County, Washington. The groom was a 21-year-old merchant, born in Euclid, Minnesota. His parents were listed as Wm. A. Teal and Lauretta Perry. The bride was 18 years old, and born in Haugen, Wisconsin. Her parents were listed as Robert Schmidt and Emma Kuntz. They were married by Thos. H. Brents, Judge of the Superior Court. Witnesses were Wm. A. Teal and E.S. Buffum. [1]
Following the death of Elmer Teal in 1921, Eugenia married Ray Fitzpatrick 20 Feb 1923 at Pasco, Franklin County, Washington. The marriage was performed by H. Warden, Justice of the Peace. Witnesses were George Chenault and Mrs. George Chenault. [8] They divorced sometime before 1930.
Eugenia Teal was a resident in the household of Henry Wiltzius on the 1930 U.S. Census at North Sprague Precinct, Lincoln County, Washington. She was listed as 36 years old and born in Wisconsin. She was working as a servant in a private home. She was divorced, though it was reported that she was age 17 when she first married. She was not employed. Also living in the household were two of her children, and a boarder. [9]
Jean Fitzpatrick appeared as Head of Household on the 1940 U.S. Census at Walla Walla, Walla Walla County, Washington. She was listed as 47 years old, and born in Wisconsin. She was renting a home valued at $17. It was reported that the highest grade she had completed in school was grade 8. She was living with two of her children and a lodger named Jack Smart. [10]
Eugenia B. Fitzpatrick married Benjaman Cockran 7 July 1944 at Pomeroy, Garfield County, Washington. Paul M. Bard, Minister of the Gospel, performed the ceremony. Witnesses were Mrs. Paul M. Bard and Mrs. Abbie Thompson. [11]
Eugenia B. Cochran died 24 October 1992 at Kennewick, Benton County, Washington. She was 99 years old. [2] [3] [4] [12] She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, at Walla Walla, Walla Walla County, Washington. [5]
"Former Walla Walla resident Eugenia B. Cochran, 99 died at her home Oct. 24, 1992 . . . . Mrs. Cochran was born April 9, 1893, in Haugen, Wis. She moved from Wisconsin to Colfax and lived there two years. She spent the greater part of her adulthood in Walla Walla, then moved to Kennewick 16 years ago. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her son, Noland Teal of Kennewick; two daughters, Evelyn Shields of Toppenish, Wash., and Joyce Weber of Pendleton; a sister, Violet Jensen of Medford; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Teal; a daughter, Ione Kiehn; a grandson, Eugene Teal; three brothers; and five sisters."[3]
