She was born on May 9, 1919 in Brainerd, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Shoemacker) Schmitz. Theresa married Glenn Watson on Sept. 3, 1936 in Superior. Theresa was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Moose Lake. She loved gardening, baking, cooking and bird watching. Theresa was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed doing crafts and making afghans. For many years she provided a daycare in her home for area children. Theresa loved visiting with her family, friends and neighbors and her home was the meeting place for them on the weekends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn on Sept. 24, 2003; a granddaughter, Kim Watson; a grandson, Troy Swing. Theresa is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Donald) Magnuson of Barnum and Carolyn Watson of both of Cloquet; four sons, Richard (Claudette) of Bemidji, Thomas of Barnum, Darryll of Milton, Fla., and Michael (Mary Lisa) of Blaine; two sisters, Agnes Dye and Marie Peters, both of Cloquet; 22 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. VISITATION:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Burial will be in the spring at Mount Salem Cemetery, Mahtowa.
