Per bio on memorial page:
"Theodor Schmitz was born 1 April 1787 in Drees, Eifel, Rhein-Palatinate, Germany, the son of Michole Schmitz and Katerina Werner. He married Anna Gertrud Koenigs on 04 Feb 1812 in St. Chrysanthus and Daria Church, Welcerath, Eifel, Rhein-Paltinate. Along with his wife, sons Mathias Joseph & Johannes and daughter, Anna Maria he immigrated to the United States, arriving in New York on 20 August 1846. Theodor and family settled in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin where his two sons, Mathias and Peter resided."
NOTE: A daughter Mary Schmitz (Johann Nett) also immigrated with the family,
