Marge Howes Perry [email address removed] wrote: a book written by Fred Beal SNYDER and privately printed was given to me to use. In it are 2 photos , 1 of John Adam SNYDER and 1 of Elizabeth SCHAFFER.:

The Story of Fred Beal Snyder as Told by Himself Commemorating His 91st Birthday 21 May 1950" printed by the Lund Press Minneapolis Minnesota, 1950. On page 4 there are 2 photos, one of John Adam SCHNEIDER and his wife, Elizabeth SCHAFFER. Under the photos is the following:"My Grandparents on my Father's Side."

There appears to be a discrepancy in John Adam's birth. Fred Beal SNYDER states he was born in Feb. 1781, but several other records show Adam Jr. born Feb 1781 and John A. born in 1792. The 1860 and 1870 censuses would bear out the date of 1792 as he is listed as age 68 in 1860 and age 79 in 1870.
