Biography

Rudolph Schneider has German Roots.

Rudolph was born on 21 September 1886 in Remagen, Germany.[1] He was the son of Carl Joseph Schneider and Christina Nagel .[2] He was baptized on 3 October 1886 at St. Peter und Paul in Remagen.[3] The baptismal sponsors were Rudolf Krause and Pauline Vogelsang.[4]

He left Remagen with his family in 1892.[5] He became a citizen of the United States on 18 February 1898, when his father was naturalized.[6]

He married Elsa Erd on 2 July 1918 in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois.[7]

He graduated from City College of Law and Finance in St. Louis, Missouri in 1917 with the degree of Bachelor of Laws.[8] He was a member of the firm Rollins, Schneider & Halter.[9] He served as deputy food commissioner of the United States during World War I.[10]

Rudolph died on 16 February 1955 at the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home, St. Louis, Missouri.[11] He was buried in the Little Sisters of the Poor section[12] of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri on 19 February 1955.[13]
