Bill graduated from Lewiston High School in 1936.
He married Beatta C. Speltz June 28, 1941 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Rollingstone and they operated a trucking business until 1962.
Bill served in the Army during World War II and in 1955 he purchased an Anheuser-Busch beer distributionship which he operated as Schott Distribution Co., until his death. After his wife died he moved to Rochester in 1975 and to St. Charles in 1991.
