Rachel Rowland Schultz was the daughter of Jacob and Mary 'Polly' (Young) Schults and the wife of Thomas Jefferson Stagner of Madison County, KY. They were the parents of nine children: John H, Mary Ann, George H, Joseph M, William R, Martha R, Thomas J, James J, Martha Catherine. She is buried at Stagner Cemetery in Dent County, Missouri.
