Regina Scholtze was born in 1749, in Hereford Township, Berks county, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Christopher Scholtze and Rosina (Yeakel) Scholtze. Regina's father was a member of the Committee of Observation and a delegate to the Provincial Convention from January 23, 1775, to January 28, 1775, during the American Revolutionary War. He is honored for his Patriotic Service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as Ancestor #A103255. Application for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants Regina and her husband Melchior Jaekel (aka Yeakel) [1]
On November 15, 1770, Melchior Yeakel and Regina Schultz were married. The marriage was performed by the Reverend Christopher Kriebel. [2]
