Johann Adam Schäfer is almost certainly a grandson of Hanß Jacob Schäfer, the sole Schäfer resident of Biedershausen after the Thirty Years War and the progenitor of the Biedershausen Schäfer line.
Further research is needed to determine from which of Hanß Jacob Schäfer's sons he descends.
