Silas Scott was born on November 24, 1813 in Jefferson, Ohio, United States, son of William Scott (1765–1854) and Elizabeth Coe (1777–1857).
Silas (24) married Phebe Parkison (22) (born on November 11, 1815 in Wayne, Wayne, Ohio; daughter of Thomas Parkison and Eunice Coe) on July 3, 1838 in Salt Lick Twp., Wayne Co., Ohio.[1] Their son was John Scott (1840–1840).
