Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi  Randy. Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community.   Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.  It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.  Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code.  This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community.   We have many friendly members, feel  free to ask if you have any questions.  I think, and hope, that you will find working on this site to be very rewarding. I am retired, computer literate and the eldest living member of my family. I am willing to add my family's information into this site and couple it to a cousin of mine who has already gone through this process. I have a blood branch and an adopted branch in my father's lineage. I have 4 children and 3 1/2 siblings, plus a daughter-in-law. Existing connections will be through my mother, but one cousin has also worked with my father's blood lineage. I have worked with another wiki site on various projects.

Hi John,

Welcome! As a guest you are encouraged to explore. Our Help pages (upper right) are full of valuable information. The Help Index, Intro to WikiTree, and our G2G forum will answer a lot of your questions. And please, don't hesitate to ask your own questions in G2G. Please read our Honor Code, it's what we're all about. If English is not your first language, here is a link to WikiTree Language Volunteers.

If you would like to join us in our effort to grow a FREE Worldwide Family Tree, click the volunteer button and leave a message to that effect.

Have Fun!

Fred
