Biography

William McKendree Scott was born 18 Oct 1817 in Jefferson, Ohio. He died 22 Dec 1861 in Princeton, New Jersey.[1] He was the son of William Scott and Elisabeth Scales.

He married Mary Elizabeth Hodge on 9 Sept. 1847 in Princeton, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Charles Hodge and Sarah Franklin Bache.

William and Mary had the following children: [2][3]

  1. Charles Hodge Scott, born 1849. [4]
  2. John Bayard Scott, born 1851, died in infancy
  3. Hugh Lenox Scott, born 1853
  4. Sarah Scott, born about 1855, died in infancy
  5. William Berryman Scott, born 1858

He died in 1861.[5]
