Born ABT 1817. Murnies, Crabarkey, Dungiven, Derry, Ireland. Note: In quoting from an old book 'The Record of My Ancestry'. Leonard stated "scribbled notes describe Monues [Murnies] as the name of an estate belonging to the Scott family. Her date of birth is an estimate - based on age recorded on death registration.

Census 1831 Crabarkey, Dungiven, Derry, Ireland. John Scott is the only person named: 6 males & 4 females in family and 1 female servant. [4]

Residence Dungiven, Derry, Ireland. Note: "Our grandmother's name was Scott, she belonged to Dungiven also & there are still many descendants of the family in the district.". [5]

13 FEB 1846. Presbyterian Meetinghouse, Scrigan, Dungiven, Derry, Ireland. Alexander Cromie, full age, bachelor, farmer, Tamniarin, son of Edward Cromie, farmer, and Elizabeth Scott, full age, spinster, Crobaikey, daughter of John Scott, farmer. Married in the Pres.
