"John and David Christie, twin sons of Alexander and Helen Christie Scott, were born 11-2-1858, and were baptized in the Presbyterian Church of Winneconne 9-22-1859, John being named for his paternal uncle, and David for his maternal uncle.
"These boys became tall and handsome men with black hair and blue eyes. After their mother died they “borrowed a stake” and set out to make their way in the world. Their original destination was Wausau where they got work in a lumber company. Both continued in that business at various locations as long as they lived.
"John died of pneumonia 12-7-1889 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was buried in the family lot in Ball Prairie Cemetery near Winneconne."
