Biography

Jesse Nathaniel SCOTT was the second of the nine sons of • Thomas Henry SCOTT of Screven County. Jesse's mother was his father's first wife, • Louisa A. BEARD.

In 1899 in Tattnall County, Jesse married • Frances Elizabeth MOSELEY (daughter of William Nathaniel MOSELEY & Elizabeth DANIEL); after a marriage of just two years, Frances died in 1901.

In 1900, Frances' brother, Washington Sylvester MOSELEY, had married Zebie Gertrude KENNEDY.

In 1902 in Tattnall County, Jesse married Zebie's sister, • Sarah Ellen KENNEDY.

In 1905 in Tattnall County, Jesse's brother (the third of the nine sons), Hope Brannen SCOTT, was married to a sister of Zebie and Ellen, Katie Elizabeth KENNEDY.

Sometime after 1920, a third brother (the sixth of the nine sons), Charles Paulhill SCOTT, & his wife, also settled in Tattnall County.
