Nathan Scott is Notable.

Nathan was born 1842 in Ohio. As a young man he mined near Colorado Springs from 1859-1862. He served in the Union army 1863-1865. Moved to Wheeling, West Virginia. He engaged in glass manufacturing and banking. City council from 1881-1883, the West Virginia Senate 1883-1890, became a member of the Republican National Committee. Appointed a Commissioner by President McKinley, then became a US Senator for West Virginia. Left the senate in early 1911, but remained in Washington D.c. until his death.
