Scott-29607 and Scott-10303 appear to represent the same person because: only one son by this name, his birth is listed on Find a Grave and DAR records as 1797

If Jesse Fauler Scott was born in (Cooper Co) Mo 1822 he's not likely the son of Daniel Wentworth Scott who migrated from Surry Co NC to Cumberland Gap where his "first two sons" were born: Radford b. ca 1823-4 and son Daniel W. born 1826 "near the Cumberland River". The family moved to Morgan Co Illinois in 1830 where son James Richard was born in 1836. In 1837 the family went to Dade Co MO, the move taking five months "by oxen-drawn wagon" . Biography in Dade Co Mo.History.

Jesse is likely the son of Obediah Scott in 1840 Barry MO census, 1850 Dade census: 3 adjacent households of Scotts: Philip Scott, Jesse Scott and George Scott age 20 with sister Martha age 18 and presumed widowed father Obediah Scott age 50 in the same household. Jesse O. Scott, Jesse Scott and Daniel Scott are listed in 1840 land acquisition records of Dade Co.
