Biography
Celia Scott was born on 30 October 1800 in Adams county, Ohio. She was the daughter of Joseph Scott (1773-1872) and Mary Cain (1777-1857). The family moved to Scioto county, Ohio, where Celia met and married Xanthus Kennedy on 11 April 1823.[1] They had nine children who were all born in Ohio:[2]

Celia and her family had moved to Hardin county, Iowa by 1860.[3]
Celia died on 20 November 1863 in Hardin county and is buried in Cottage Cemetery.[4]
