An interesting review of the residences of Thomas Shippee can be found in: Bicknell, Thomas Wm., (1834-1925) pg. 94:
"...David Shippee, the earliest known Shippee in Warwick, R.I., he being of record there in 1664, the yr of his m. to Margaret, dau of Tho. Scranton. In the record David is styled "of Maidfields," his wife 'late of Warwick, now Providence Island." He lived in Kingstown, E. Greenwich and Providence, R.I., the date of his death later than 1718."
