Scruggs say that their father Starling Scruggs born 9 Dec 1837 was the son of Ted Edward Scruggs, born 26 Dec 1806 who was the son of Edward Scruggs and Mary Edwards. Mary Edwards was the daughter of Andrew Edwards. Andrew Edwards was the son of Thomas Edwards. Thomas Edwards was the brother of Robert Edwards. Edward Scruggs was the son Robert Scruggs and Rebecca Edwards who was the daughter of Robert Edwards.

Cowley Co., KS dated 10 May 1924. Claud L. Scruggs appeared and said that his father Starling Scruggs, born 9 Dec 1837, was the son Ted Edward Scruggs, born 26 Dec 1806, who was the son of Edward Scruggs and mary Edwards. Mary Edwards was the daughter of Andrew Edwards and Andrew Edwards was the son of Thomas Edwards. Thomas Edwards was a brother of Robert Edwards. Edwards Scruggs was the son of Robert Scruggs and Rebecca Edwards who was a daughter of Robert Edwards.
