Research Notes

  • Warning: Check the data.
A father's death date should not be more than nine months before one of his children's birth dates.
  • Based on his will above, I have removed Susanna Hughes as a spouse. She died after he died, and she and her children are not mentioned in his will. -- Fiscus-32 10:07, 19 November 2016 (EST)
  • Thomas is not named as a son of Thomas in the will of Thomas. He may not be a son of Thomas.
  • There were several items in the original biography referring to dates after his date of death. I removed those. Also, the birthplace in the biography text does not match the birthdate in the vital statistics at the top of the profile. -- Fiscus-32 10:07, 19 November 2016 (EST)

  5. Is this the same Thomas Scruggs? Why was he in Kentucky in 1800 if he was born and died in Virginia.
