Biography
Military
"Louis P Seale" enlisted in the 27th Texas Cavalry as a private in Company E on 10 Feb 1862, enlisting in Jasper County, Texas. He died 19 May 1862 in Columbus, Mississippi, in hospital[1]
Two of his half-brothers, John P and Thomas R Seale also served in Company E of the 27th Cavalry.
He was buried in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, Lowndes, Mississippi[2] [3]

1850 Federal Census, Union parish, Louisiana. 13-year old Lewis is living with his father and several of his siblings. [4]
1860 Federal Census, Jasper county, Texas. Lewis, age 18, "domestic", birth given as "Mo" but should be Mississippi. 5 of his brothers are in the household with their 62-year-old father "L P Seale"[5]
