Biography

Rosalind, born in India in 1856, was the daughter of Major-General George Archimede Searle and his wife Susan.^[1] In 1871 she and her siblings lived with tutor George W. Green and his wife in St. John Hampstead, London.^[2] She married Commander William D. Anderson in 1881.^[3] They had two daughters, Muriel and Ruth, before William's death in 1887.

In 1891, Rosalind and her daughters lived with her sister Constance Searle in Thornbury, Gloucestershire.^[4]In 1901 they lived in Bath, Somersetshire, England.^[5]
