Biography

Ebenezer Searle, born 9 Jan 1679/80 in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, was the son of John Searle[1] and Mary North.[2]

He was married on 14 July 1710, Brooklyn Township, Windham County, Connecticut, to Martha Moore (b. 22 February 1681/82, Windham, Connecticut; d. 07 November 1756, Coventry, Connecticut), daughter of William Moore and Mary Wellman.[citation needed] Ebenezer and Martha had 7 children:[citation needed]

  • Elisha, b.1718[6]
  • Gideon, b.1720[7]
  • Abigail, b.1721[8]
  • William, b.1728[9]

Martha, wife of Ebenezer Searl, died 7 Nov 1756 at Coventry CT.[10]

The Ebenezer Searle that died 18 Jan 1739 in Stonington, Connecticut was born in 1665 and was married to Margaret in 1679 and is NOT the Ebenezer of this profile.

There are hundreds of Ancestry trees that have ACe E Searle-883 as Ebenezer's son. However, this seems unlikely since he was born in 1700 in North Carolina. Do you have any info about Ace's parents?

Ebenezer Searl (b. 1680) was son of John Searl Jr. (1641-1718) and Mary North (1643?-1726).

Ebenezer's wife was Martha Moore (1682-1756).
