Julia M. Hunter filed her petition this afternoon for divorce from James R. Hunter. Mrs. Hunter sets out that she is a resident of the District, but is now residing temporarily with her aunt, Mrs. Revell, in Annapolis, Md. She alleges a marriage by Rev. D. Evans Reese, and claims divorce on the ground of desertion.[8]

Mrs. Julia Hunter, niece of the wife of Judge James Revell, died at the residence of the latter, on West street, tonight. Mrs. Hunter was formerly Miss Searles, daughter of Jas. Searles, of Washington. She leaves a son and two daughters. Judge Revell himself has been confined to the house by sickness several days.[9]
