Catherine Sears was born on August 4, 1809 in Sackville, New Brunswick.[1] She was the daughter of David Sears and Susanna Ward. She married John P. Richardson on October 20, 1829.[2] They raised their family in Westmorland Parish, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, near her parents and siblings.
In 1881, Catherine was living with her youngest son, Herbert, and his family.
Catherine died on August 8, 1889. She was buried in the Midgic Cemetery.[3]
