DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rebecca by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rebecca:
Seaver-803 and Seaver-174 appear to represent the same person because: Rebecca Wait, appears on the 1850 census in the household of Joseph Wait b1848 (the son of Gilbert Wait/e according to FindAGrave records) and then in the 1855 census as his mother. Her age on those documents would work with a roughly 1776 birth year. (The census also records she was born in Vermont, so I'm not sure how sure you are about Rebecca Seaver's birthplace). FindAGrave obituaries seem to point to Rebecca Seaver, daughter of Josiah Seaver marrying Gilbert Wait, the son of Benjamin Franklin Wait, and having children with the same names. Idk if it's a rock solid connection, most of the references to Gilbert and Rebecca (Seaver) Wait I could find right now are on FindAGrave, but both of their families had Revolutionary War/founding families descendant connections that--to me-- appear well researched and solid
