Polley Seay was born on November 15, 1785 in Lawson Fork, Spartanburg, South Carolina, the daughter of Reuben Seay and Mary A. (Jones) Seay. [1] She was the sister of Hezekiah H. Seay, Ira Seay, Martha (Seay) Brannon, Mary (Seay) Bishop, Mathew Seay, Samuel Seay, Sarah Seay, Judith (Seay) Brannon, James R. Seay, Elizabeth Seay, Lucy (Seay) Blackwell, Reuben Seay Jr and Elizabeth (Seay) Parks
Polley married William L. Bishop on March 15, 1804 in Spartanburg County, SC. They had the following children:
