Biography

John was born in 1727. He was the son of John Seely and Abigail Bishop.

In 1754 he married his first cousin, Ann Seely, daughter of Obadiah Seely. They had eleven children:[1]

  1. Mary (b-1755) married Stone
  2. John (b-1756)
  3. Stephen Bishop (b-1757) died young
  4. Jonas (b-1762)
  5. Joab (b-1763, d-1789)
  6. Catherine (b-1764) married Neels
  7. Stephen Bishop (b-1766)
  8. Sarah (b-1767) married Ball
  9. Abigail married Williams
  10. Obadiah (b-1776)
  11. Anna (b-1778) married Barker

He passed away in 1814.
