Biography
Caroline was born in 1839, and came to New Zealand with her parents and 5 sisters in 1841, on the ship "Arab". [1] England & Wales Births 1837-2006 [2] Arab Ship: 484 tons Captain: John Sumner Surgeon Superintendent: William S Butler Sailed England 5th June 1841 - arrived Port Nicholson 16th October 1841
She married George Eves in 1861[3] and they had 12 children.
Caroline Eves was part owner with her sisters, Mary Ann Manson and Sarah Boggis in her father's property in the Hutt Valley, Wellington. They sold this property in 1903.[4]
She passed away in 1922 aged 83[5] and was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Tasman District, New Zealand.[6]
