Maureen Lewis provided information related to Mary Tappan: Marriage date for Mary M. Seppy Tourile Tappen given in Civil War pension application for her 1st husband, Thomas. They were married 30 July 1838 in Palmyra, Wayne Co., NY. According to guardianship papers for her two sons and as a widow she stated they were married by a Methodist clergyman.
