Thomas Sewell, born about 1597 in England, arrived in Jamestown Colony aboard the George on 16 April 1619, listed as Piersey's servant having left London 29 January 1619. [1]
Thomas was listed on the Virginia Muster, January 20, 1624/5.
Thomas Sewell arrived again aboard the Tyger on 7 February 1624/5, London to Jamestown, Virginia. [2] Thomas made several trips between Virginia and England. [3]
Thomas Sewell patented lands in York County, Virginia in 1635 and Gloucester County in 1642, was a brother of Henry of Sewell's Point. According to a certain family history, not certified, Henry Seawell was a burgess in Elizabeth City County, in 1632, which would place him here before either Thomas or John Sewell. [4]
