MARRIAGE. 19 May 1903, Jane Amelia Robinson, daughter of Thomas Robinson & Elizabeth (Brayshaw) Robinson
WEDDING REPORT. SEWELL—ROBINSON. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at "Bittleyongin," Pingelly, the home of Mr. T. W. Robinson, on May 19, between Miss Jennie Robinson, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Robinson, and Mr. Arthur E. Sewell, only son of Mr. J. E. Sewell, of Pingelly. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. L. Coulter, and the wedding march was played by Mrs. A. Robinson, of "Ivanhoe," Pingelly. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked exceedingly pretty in a bridal robe of ivory silk, the skirt being finely tucked diagonally with lace insertion at intervals and trailed with chiffon, caught here and there with a bunch of ivory satin bebe ribbon, pearls outlined each seam, and a number of tiny frills edged the bottom of the skirt, which was finished with a graceful train at the back. The bodice was massively trimmed with tiny tucks and insertion, having a transparent yoke of silk applique, chiffon and true-lover's knots of bebe ribbon, and ornaments of pearls. The sleeves were tucked to the elbow with double, tucked silk handkerchief frills edged with lace; and the usual bridal veil and wreath were worn, the corner of the veil being drawn through the engagement ring, which was set with sapphires and diamonds. The bride carried a hand-painted silk fan. The bridesmaid, Miss Clara Robinson, sister of the bride, wore a white silk blouse, tucked and trimmed with white Maltese insertion and chiffon ; white pique skirt. Mr. T. W. Robinson, brother of the bride, acted as best man. At a reception following the ceremony a large number of friends were present, and the usual toasts were honored. The going-away dress was a pretty costume of blue serge. The front panel of the skirt was tacked, and had a hip yoke, edged with cream applique. The coatee was trimmed with blue satin ribbon, and had a front of cream glace silk under Paris net. The hat was a dainty little light grey felt, threaded with black velvet ribbon, turned up at the left side with a bunch of pink silk roses. Numerous handsome presents were received.
