Earl Eugene Sexton, 81, Indiana RD 1, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at his residence. A son of the Rev. Timothy Franklin Sexton and Sarah Mock, he was born July 18, 1916, in White Township. Mr. Sexton wa a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church. A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, he also enjoyed hunting and raising Christmas trees. In his early years, he was employed by various dairy farms. More recently, he was employed as a mechanic and fabricator at Beck's Machine Shop in Indiana for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Lillian D. Miller Sexton, whom he married on March 20, 2935; one daughter and three sons: Lula Mae Buterbaugh and her husband Edwin, Indiana RD 4; Donald E and his wife, Bonnie, Chesterfield, Va; Timothy J. and his wife, Helen, Gaithersburg, Md.; Raymond C. and his wife, Patricia, Indiana RD 1; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister: Merle, Indiana RD 1; Wendell, Johnstown; Timothy and his wife, Charlotte, Erie; Emery, Glen Campbell; and Geraldine Gunter, Shelocta. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter; and three sisters, Loretta Sexton, Pauline Barna and Edna Hunt. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Friday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert W. Goosen officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetary, Indiana. Earl was born in 1916. Earl is the child of Reverand Timothy Sexton and Sarah Mock. [1]
