Prudie Leola Sexton, 94, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at a local hospital. Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. $, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum with Dr. Bruce Cresson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, at BrookView Funeral Home.
Prudie was born in Mart, Texas, to the late Samuel and Willie (Crenshaw) Adams. She valued her independence, enjoyed eating out, had worked at Owens-Illinois, and was a member of Dr. Cresson's Sanctuary Class. Most importantly, Prudie loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elmer D. Sexton, who passed away Nov. 7, 1999; and her son, Marvin D. Sexton, who passed away March 17, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Claudia Sexton, of Lorena; granddaughter, Patty Townsend and husband, Bruce, of Lorena; grandson, Sam Sexton and wife, Sharon, of Waco; great-grandchildren, Heather Warren and husband, Bobby; Jarrett and Weston Townsend; sister, Opal Everett, of Waco; Sally and Stephen Sexton; several nieces and nephews; other family members, Sidney and Jerry Belville; Greg Belville and family, and Sherri McDow and family.
