Biography

Henry Sexton was enumerated at Beech Springs Township, Post Office Spartanburg C H, Spartanburg County, South Carolina for the July, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1848-1849 in South Carolina. He was noted as a farm laborer that was marked as not being able to read or write as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Nancy Sexton and male John Sexton.[1]

Henry T Sexton was enumerated as self at Beech Springs Township, Spartanburg County, South Carolina for the June 3, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as a farmer, born 1849 in South Carolina, married and couldn't read or write as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Nan A Sexton, son John Sexton, daughter Jane Sexton, daughter Margaret Sexton and daughter Sallie Sexton.[2]

Henry Sexton was enumerated as head of the household in ED 94 Reidville(north, east part), Spartanburg County, South Carolina for the June 7, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a farmer and born May 1848 in South Carolina. He had been married for thirty-two years and was a renter. Also included in the household are wife Nancy Sexton, daughter Janie Sexton, daughter Sallie Sexton, daughter Cora Sexton and boarder Billie Babb as seen in an image of the original census.[3]
