Biography
Mabel is buried at Grubbs Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, PA.
Mabel's husband was in WWII. Charles went off to Corpus Christi in 1944, and Mabel followed. Her mom (Anna), gave her a pair of nylons (they were hard to get because of war times); Anna told her to wear the nylons if they decided to get married before Charles shipped out. She wrote home that Saturday night and told them that she wore the pantyhose. That is how they knew that they had gotten married.
