Biography

Francis was born in 1837. He was the son of George Shaffer and Lucinda Boyer. He was living with his parent in 1850. in Shelby County, Ohio. His parents then moved to Whitmore Township, Macon County, Illinois where he married and started a family. Francis married Sevilla Swander on April 7, 1864 in Shelby County, Ohio .In 1880, Francis was living in Whitmore Township, Macon County, Illinois. He passed away in 1911.
