Jane Sharp was born in December 1820, she was baptized in the Church of Scotland parish of Abbotshall, Fifeshire, Scotland on 17 Dec 1820[1]. Her parents were recorded as George Sharp and Jane Grunton.
Jane married Peter Aitken in Abbotshall parish, Fifeshire in Sept 1839[2]

Jane died on 21 June 1860 in Marshalltown, Victoria, Australia, aged 39 years.[3], perhaps as a result of childbirth.
There appears to be no record of the birth of a daughter Isabella Aitken (or Aitkens) in the Victorian Registry of Births Deaths and Marriage. It is presumed that she was born in the Geelong area. The death of an Isabella Aitken, aged 63 years, daughter of Isabella McKay and Allan Gallaway was registered in 1897 Vic BDM ref: 4016/1897
There is an Isabella Aitken registered as marrying Ronald Macauly in 1877 in Victoria Vic BDM ref 4497/1877.
