Lillie Mae Sharp Kennedy was a sweet yellow rose of Texas. Born in Bell County, TX in 1896, she met Simon M. Kennedy in Oklahoma and they were married in 1917. They were blessed with Virgle, Joe Alvin, Dorothy, Thelma and Wallace.
Lillie Mae and her husband died within months of each other. She died first, in February of 1928, after failing to heal from the birth of Wallace. Simon was broken-hearted for months following her death. Regardless of the actual cause of death, it was a broken heart that brought Simon to that place. He died several months after his wife Lillie Mae passed.
