Biography

Emily Sharp was born in 1829 in Claiborne, Tennessee, the daughter of Martin Sharp and Rispah Lynch. She married Francis M. Henderson on 22 January 1863 in Tennessee.

In the 1850 U.S. Census for Morgan, Illinois, Emily, 21, is living with her parents: Martin, 63, and “Hurespa”, 59, and 2 siblings: Charlotte, 34, and Tillman, 17.
