Robert was a wheelwright [1]who was born at Knostrup, Leeds on 5 Mar 1833 [2] He married Anne Carter on 23 May 1853 at Leeds [3] and they had 4 children. John Newton, Mary E, Ellen and Harriet.
Robert died on 4 Apr 1866 at Wakefield, Yorkshire. [4]. He was buried in a non conformist cemetery on 8 Apr 1866 [5]
