- <James Sharp was "a dweller in Edinburgh, Scotland. Nothing further is known of his station or circumstances except what is contained in fragments of two letters in possession of Mrs. Rebecca (Sharp) Price, of Hillsboro, Ore., from a daughter, Mary, to her brother Alexander, undated, but prior to the year 1795. No other near relatives than the father and mother are referred to, except a "cousin." Children, therefore, so far as known: Alexander and Mary" - The Sharp Family - Descendants of Alexander Sharp of Edinburgh, Scotland, and the Province of New Brunswick.
