Biography

Alexander Samuel "Sandy" Sharp was born in Davidson County, North Carolina, USA on Apr 2, 1823. He is the son of Captain Abraham Sharp and Dorothy "Dolly" Murr. He married Sarah Elizabeth Williams (1824-1897) on Dec 22, 1846 in Davidson County. He died on Feb 19, 1892 and is buried at Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery, Tyro, Davidson, North Carolina, USA.[1]

Children

Sandy and Sarah had the following children:

  1. Susan Jane Sharp (1847–1922), married William Larry Snider (1845-1919) in 1868[2]
  2. Zachary Taylor Sharpe (1849–1924), married Amanda Malinda Jane Swicegood (1856-1916) in 1874[3]
  3. John Anderson Sharpe (1853–1924), married Alice Annie Louisa Klutz (1858-1917) in 1875 ([4]
  4.  Sarah Elizabeth Sharp (1861–1912), married William Casper Barnes (1858-1938) in 1872[5]
  5. Daniel Charles Sharpe (1863–1925), married Cynthia L. Barnes (1863-1945) in 1884[6]
