Per Little Compton Families, Ruth's marriage to John Cooke-2235 is the correct marriage. (see page 206 of Volume 1)

What is the source of Ruth Shaw's marriage to John Cooke-714? I believe this marriage is incorrect, while possibly the one to John Cooke-2235 may be the correct one. Cooke-714's wife lived to 1690, and he lived to 1691. There was no other wife mentioned in either Little Compton Families, or "Thomas Cook of Rhode Island", two good sources. FindAGrave which has a portion of his will does not include her name. Torrey doesn't show this marriage either.

May we remove Cooke-714 as her husband? Thank you.
