Mary Elizabeth Shaw was born about 1871 in Cropper, Osleston (and Thurvaston), Sutton on the Hill Parish, Derbyshire and was christened in Tissington Parish, Derbyshire on 18 May 1871, the daughter of Daniel Shaw and Elizabeth (Buxton) Shaw; the Tissington Parish Register records the family’s residence as Cropper in Osleston Parish[1]
