THE LATE MISS LETTICE HAY SHAW
On Saturday a stained glass window in St Paul's Church was solemnly dedicated to the glory of God, as a memorial to Miss Lettice Barbara Hay Shaw, the daughter of Lieut.Colonel Hay Shaw, who died four years ago this month. Miss Hay Shaw, it will be remembered, was a very gifted pupil of the High School, and her early death cut short a life of great achievement and of even greater promise. To this day her loss is lamented, and her memory cherished, by a great number of friends.
The following inscription appears under three lights:
"To the Glory of God, and to the dear memory of Lettice Barbara Hay Shaw, the beloved youngest child of Lieut.Colonel Hay Shaw, and Marian his wife. Died June 4, 1904 aged xvii years. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."[3]
